Airlines directed to maintain regular fare levels

Following the tragic terror attack in Kashmir, Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu has taken prompt action to ensure the safety of affected tourists and victims. He is closely monitoring the situation in collaboration with the Home Minister and relevant authorities.

Immediate relief includes four special flights from Srinagar—two to Delhi and two to Mumbai—along with additional standby flights for further evacuations.

An urgent meeting with airline operators resulted in a strong advisory against surge pricing, ensuring no additional burden on passengers. Airlines have also been instructed to assist in transporting deceased individuals, coordinating with state governments.

The Ministry remains vigilant and dedicated to providing necessary assistance.
