IAS officer Muddada Ravichandra takes charge as new TTD EO

Hyderabad: Senior IAS officer Muddada Ravichandra formally assumed charge as the new Executive Officer of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), one of the country’s most prominent temple trusts, on Saturday.

Prior to taking charge, Ravichandra visited the Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy Temple located near the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Tirumala and offered prayers as part of the traditional protocol followed by newly appointed officials.

Following his visit, temple priests extended Vedic blessings to the new Executive Officer and presented him with tirtha prasadam and sacred honours in accordance with temple customs.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravichandra said he considers the new responsibility a matter of privilege and service. He stated that his primary focus would be on further improving facilities and services provided to the lakhs of devotees visiting the Tirumala temple every year.

He also emphasised the importance of maintaining the sanctity of temple traditions while ensuring efficient administration and better crowd management systems. He assured that steps would be taken to enhance pilgrim amenities, streamline darshan arrangements and strengthen infrastructure wherever required.

Ravichandra expressed gratitude to the state government and the TTD trust for reposing confidence in him and entrusting him with the responsibility of managing the affairs of the prestigious temple institution.

TTD officials welcomed the new Executive Officer and expressed hope that his administrative experience would contribute to further strengthening the management of the temple services. Devotee welfare, infrastructure improvement and efficient administration are expected to remain key priorities under his tenure.
