Israel Expands Military Operation in Gaza

Israel’s Prime Minister has confirmed that military operations will intensify across Gaza, including a potential full occupation of central areas like the Deir al-Balah refugee camp. This is part of a broader strategy to dismantle remaining Hamas strongholds following nearly ten months of conflict.

The Israeli military claims it is targeting Hamas operatives and tunnel infrastructure. However, the expanded campaign comes despite growing international calls for a ceasefire, especially as densely populated civilian zones are increasingly affected.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate rapidly. Aid organizations are warning of critical shortages of food, clean water, and medical supplies. Efforts to broker a truce remain stalled as both sides accuse each other of escalating violence.
