Obscene remarks on Mah Women’s Commission chairperson, accused arrested

Mumbai: Bandra Kherwadi police have arrested Jayesh Padwale, wanted for making obscene remarks on social media about Rupali Chakankar, chairperson of the Maharashtra State Women’s Commission. Police are interrogating Padwal.

According to the police, a case was registered against Jayesh Padwale, Nishant Naik, Santosh Eknath Chakankar, Sunil Khaldkar, Shailesh Bhambid, Akshay Pandey, Dnyaneshwar Jholekar, Anil Suryavanshi and Pushpendra at the Kherwadi police station in June. Since then Jayesh Padwale was underground. He was arrested late on Friday from Palghar.
