Massive fire accident at Charminar: 17 people, including eight children and five women killed

Hyderabad: A massive fire broke out in a building near Hyderabad’s iconic Charminar this morning. In this incident, 17 people, including eight children and five women, have died.

Fire officials received call around 6.30 am from people and rushed to the spot. Eleven fire engines fought the blaze and those injured were shifted to hospitals.

The cause of the fire is not confirmed yet, it is suspected that a short circuit may have led to the tragedy.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed condolences on this incident and asked officials to step up relief efforts and ensure the best treatment for those injured.
