Mizoram elections: Bru refugees forged vote for ‘change’

Mizoram:Tripura-settled bru refugees who had fled violence of their native mizoram 21 years in the past, set foot in their native vicinity for the first time in two a long time to take part in mizoram’s nation assembly polls on wednesday.
Before the ballot , bru citizens sounded disenchanted with the polling stations in kanhmun village alongside the mizo-tripura border. Bru refugees voted at 15 polling booths at kahnmun in mamit district of mizoram, near the border. of the 11,987 registered bru citizens, 56.46% voted.
