ED questions actress Nora Fatehi in a RS.200 million money laundering case,

New Delhi : Nora Fatehi, an actress, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Delhi on Friday in connection with Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who is imprisoned in Mandoli.

Nora Fatehi was interrogated for five hours by Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) officials on September 15.

Pinky Irani, who was arrested by the Delhi Police on Wednesday in an extortion case involving thug Sukesh Chandrasekhar, was sentenced to three days in police custody by a local court on November 30. The local court also stated that the police should be given complete authority to conduct an investigation into the matter.

Suman Nalwa, a spokesperson for the Delhi Police, stated that Irani, a Mumbai resident, joined the investigation at the EOW office. Irani was accused of introducing several Bollywood celebrities, including actress Jacqueline Fernandez, to swindler Sukesh Chandrasekhar. It is also claimed that she was involved in the distribution of the recovery amount.

Nalwa stated that after having sufficient evidence (against Irani), she was arrested in this case and taken to court, where she was detained for three days. The EOW had questioned Fernandez in the extortion case in September.

Chandrashekhar is currently imprisoned on charges of defrauding several people, including high-profile individuals such as Aditi Singh, the wife of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh.
