PM Modi arrives in Jeddah,welcome with traditional 21-gun salute upon arrival

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday for a two-day visit, receiving a formal welcome marked by a 21-gun salute and an escort from Royal Saudi Air Force F-15 jets.

Upon landing, he was warmly welcomed by Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Governor of Mecca, and greeted by the Indian community at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel with chants of “Modi-Modi.” This visit, at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is Modi’s third trip to Saudi Arabia and first to Jeddah.

Discussions will focus on Hajj-related matters, defense relations, and enhancing economic cooperation through the Strategic Partnership Council, emphasizing mutual development and regional stability.
