PM Modi, Finland President discuss bilateral collaboration via phone

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finnish President Alexander Stubb held a phone conversation to review ongoing cooperation between India and Finland, emphasizing digitalization, sustainability, and mobility. They committed to strengthening partnerships in areas such as quantum technology, 5G-6G, AI, and cybersecurity.

The leaders discussed regional and global topics of mutual interest, particularly the situation in Ukraine. President Stubb voiced Finland’s support for closer ties between India and the European Union and advocated for the swift conclusion of a mutually beneficial Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Both leaders agreed to maintain communication.

Modi later shared on X about their meaningful discussion, highlighting Finland’s significance as an EU partner and their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations.
