Police nabbed Inter-state drug peddling gang : 10 kg ganja seized

Hyderabad: Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) nabbed inter-state drug peddling gang, involved in smuggling of drugs from Odisha to Maharashtra via Hyderabad. Police seized Marijuana weighing 10.1 kg, worth Rs 2.50 lakh.

The arrested were identified as Arun Kumar and Dipak Kumar, both rag pickers from Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. The prime suspect, Mohit, a native of Uttar Pradesh, is absconding. Arun and Dipak, who are addicted to consuming narcotic substances, were currently residing in Rathnagiri of Maharashtra. Recently, they learnt about Mohit earning easy and big money through drug peddling and planned to join hands with him.

They were arrested by the railway police teams over suspicion and when their luggage was checked, the narcotic substance was found. A case was registered further investigation is in process.
