Senior IPS officer Shivadhar Reddy assumes charge as Telangana DGP

Hyderabad: Shivadhar Reddy, Senior IPS officer assumed charge as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Telangana at the DGP headquarters on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he urge the State government to expedite recruitment for vacant posts in the police department. “To ensure smooth conduct of upcoming local body elections, police team are using extensive technology at the ground level” he added.

He emphasized on strengthening the police force by recruiting the young skills. Moreover, DGP signaled a renewed focus on modernization, community engagement, and countering extremism through both policing and rehabilitation measures.
