Delhi: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of being “afraid” of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and stated that the Aam Aadmi Party leader had become more dangerous after his arrest.
Raut also announced that he, along with other leaders, will be participating in a protest rally at Ramlila Maidan organized by the INDIA alliance. Kejriwal, who is currently serving as the Delhi CM and the national convener of AAP, has been questioned in a money laundering case related to the now-repealed Delhi excise policy. Despite facing legal challenges, Kejriwal’s party has stated that he will continue to govern from jail and remain the CM of Delhi.
The ED is also investigating if there was any tampering with mobile phones handled by Kejriwal’s aides and staff in relation to the policy. The agency has alleged that Kejriwal is the “kingpin” of the “scam”, while the CM and his party have called it a case of political vendetta by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
