Hyderabad: The Governor of Telangana has extended the last date for submission of nominations for the Governor’s Awards for Excellence – 2025 till December 24, 2025, up to 5:00 PM, in response to requests from aspirants and stakeholders.
Nominations were invited to recognise individuals and institutions, organisations, societies, or trusts that have made outstanding and exemplary contributions over the last five years, from 2020 onwards, in four fields — women empowerment, tribal development, rural health and medical philanthropy, and corporate volunteering.
In each of the four categories, two awards will be presented — one in the individual category and the other in the institutional category. Each award carries a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh along with a citation.
Individuals who have demonstrated exceptional achievement or sustained contribution in the respective fields during the last five years are eligible to apply under the individual category. Institutions, organisations, societies, or trusts that have undertaken impactful developmental initiatives or rendered exemplary service during the same period may apply under the institutional category.
Eligible applicants include residents of Telangana and institutions or organisations that have been actively engaged in impactful service within the state during the last five years.
The selected awardees will be honoured by the Governor of Telangana on Republic Day, January 26, 2026.
Nominations can be submitted both online and offline.
For offline submission, duly filled nomination forms downloaded from the Telangana Lok Bhavan website, along with supporting documents, may be sent by speed post or submitted in person to the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Governor’s Secretariat, Lok Bhavan, Somajiguda, Hyderabad – 500041.
