TGSRTC Cuts Metro Deluxe, AC Metro Bus Fares by ₹5–10 for Three Months

Move aimed at improving occupancy; revised fares effective from March 1

Hyderabad, March 1: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has announced a reduction in fares for Metro Deluxe and AC Metro buses in an effort to improve occupancy levels.

According to officials, fares have been reduced by ₹5 to ₹10, and the revised rates will remain in effect for a period of three months starting March 1.

Sources indicated that as the Mahalakshmi free bus travel scheme is not applicable to Metro Deluxe and AC Metro services, commuters have been relatively reluctant to opt for these categories due to slightly higher ticket prices.

The temporary fare reduction is expected to encourage more passengers to choose these services, particularly during peak commuting hours.

TGSRTC officials stated that occupancy trends will be reviewed after the three-month period to assess the impact of the revised pricing.
