Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. On Monday, Shah visited a forward post along the India-Pakistan international border.
Amit Shah held two meetings in Jammu and Kashmir today on Tuesday to assess development projects and security conditions.The development review meeting, attended by Lieutenant-Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, lasted two hours. Shah praised the efforts of security agencies in maintaining peace, urging them to enhance vigilance. Upon his arrival, he paid respects to Kirti Chakra awardee Deputy Superintendent of Police Humayun Muzammil Bhat, who was killed in combat in 2023, spending time with his family. Security measures were heightened across Kashmir during the visit.
