Hyderabad’s karate athlete Triumph at 6th Legend Malaysia International Karate Championships!

Hyderabad,1 July: Syed Mohammed Hussain, a talented karate athlete from Hyderabad, Telangana, emerged as the triumphant victor at the 6th Legend Malaysia International Karate Championships. Competing in the Age 16–21 & -55 Kg Weight Category in the Kumite Event Elite, Hussain showcased his exceptional skill and abilities on the mat at the grand Stadium MPSJ Serdang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

His impressive performance solidified his status as the Malaysia Open Karate Champion, adding another milestone to his already impressive track record in international competitions. With precise strikes and strategic moves, Hussain outmanoeuvred his opponent and secured a well-deserved victory in the final round. This historic feat not only made him the fifth Indian male athlete to grab a gold medal at the Malaysia Open Championships but also marked India’s first gold in karate since its inception in the sport.

Hussain’s hard work and dedication have paid off, as he fulfilled his dream of securing an international-level medal and etched his name in the history books as one of India’s finest fighters.
