Tragic Loss: Travel Influencer’s Last Reel at Kumbhe Waterfalls

Raigad:  A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday when travel influencer Aanvi Kamdar, a 26-year-old resident of Mumbai, fell into a gorge while shooting a video near the Kumbhe waterfalls in the Mangaon district of Raigad. She had gone to the waterfalls with her friends to enjoy the monsoon season and was known for her love for shooting reels. Unfortunately, her leg slipped while taking photographs and videos and she fell 350-feet deep.

The Sahyadri Wildlife Conservation Society and Mangaon police immediately arrived at the location with rescue forces. Although she was alive when rescued, Kamdar passed away during treatment. The rescue operation was difficult due to falling stones and similar incidents have occurred recently in the area.

A family of five also drowned in a nearby waterfall earlier this week. The District Collector of Pune has appealed to the public to be cautious during the monsoon season and avoid going near water bodies. This tragic incident serves as a reminder to be careful and responsible while exploring nature’s beauty.
