Following heightened tensions with Pakistan after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) on Wednesday, closing its airspace to all Pakistani civil and military aircraft.
Effective from April 30 until May 23, 2025, no Pakistani aircraft may enter Indian airspace, with the restriction subject to future review. A senior official from the Ministry of Civil Aviation emphasized that this decision prioritizes security and sovereignty interests.
International civil aviation agencies and airports have been notified. This move directly impacts Pakistan’s flights and serves as a strong warning from India amid ongoing ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) and escalating border tensions.
