Heavy rainfall recorded in Hyderabad, Nampally records highest

Hyderabad: On Saturday night heavy rainfall recorded in the city measuring 11.75 centimetres by 10 pm.

Nampally (Begum Bazar Doodh Khana UHC) recorded the highest rainfall in the city, Charminar (Sardar Mahal ZC office) recorded the second highest amount of rainfall at 10.63 centimetres.

The heavy two-hour rainfall resulted in significant traffic jams across almost all regions. Major roads in Punjagutta, Ameerpet, LB Nagar, Kukatpally, S R Nagar, Miyapur, Begumpet, Lakdikapul, Khairatabad, Hi Tech City, Madhapur, and Mehdipatnam were inundated with knee-deep rainwater.
