On Monday, the world witnessed a historic moment as the Europa Clipper spacecraft, operated by NASA, departed from Kennedy Space Center in Florida for its journey towards Jupiter’s moon Europa. This mission aims to uncover the mysteries of Europa’s frozen ocean floor and search for signs of life beyond Earth.
Along with scientific equipment, the spacecraft also carried a silicon chip containing the names of 26 lakh people, including 30 children and teachers from Jashpur district in Chhattisgarh. This initiative by the district administration aims to spark an interest in science among children and educate them about the wonders of space exploration.
This marks another milestone in India’s space journey, and the students from Jashpur are filled with pride as their names will now travel to Jupiter’s satellite Europa, thanks to this ambitious mission.
