Congress action reflects complete disregard for nature: PM Modi

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s blamed Congress government’s for destructing rich biodiversity in Kancha Gachibowli.

While addressing a public meeting at Hisar city in Haryana, he stated that Congress government’s action reflected complete disregard for nature.

The Congress government was operating bulldozers in jungles, which was damaging the environment and posing a threat to wild animals.

“Pointing out that while the Centre was working on generating gas from waste, the Congress government in Telangana was destroying forests” he added.

The row over tree felling and destructing the rich biodiversity in the 400 acres at Kancha Gachibowli hit national headlines after the Supreme Court took suo motu cognizance of the incident.

Students and people from different sections protested against the Congress government’s plans to establish an IT Park in the lands. The  Supreme Court On April 3, directed the State government to stop all activities in the contentious land until further orders.
