Asian markets Surges Post-Trump’s tariff pause announcement

President Donald Trump announced a 90-day pause on tariffs, excluding China, where tariffs soared to 125%. This led to surges in Asian markets, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 up 8%, South Korea’s KOSPI over 5%, and Australia’s ASX 200 rising 5%. In retaliation, China imposed an 84% tariff on US goods, rejecting US “tax blackmail.” Trump’s claims highlighted excessive foreign duties harming the US economy.

On April 9, US stocks rebounded sharply, with the Dow up 2,962.97 points (7.87%), Nasdaq gaining 1,867.06 points (12.16%), and S&P 500 rising 474.93 points (9.53%).
