Live Rat Found in ‘Chutney’ at JNTUH Mess in Sultanpur

Hyderabad: A live rat was found in ‘chutney’ at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) college mess in Sultanpur, Hyderabad. A video circulating on social media showed the rat struggling to exit the mess. The incident has sparked anger among students and sparked reactions.

A recent raid by the Food Safety Department, Telangana, found numerous violations, including infested maida flour and fungus-infested vegetables. The storeroom was found to be unhygienic, and food handlers were found without head caps, aprons, and medical records. A notice has been issued, and further action will be taken.
