Pakistani army opens ceasefire; Indian army retaliated in Uri

The Pakistani army violated the ceasefire late Saturday night, firing small arms across the Line of Control in Uri, Kupwara district, particularly in Tutmari Gali and Rampur sector. In response, the Indian army effectively returned fire.

A defense officer confirmed that the Pakistani posts initiated the provocation, but Indian soldiers responded promptly.

The situation in the affected sectors is now under control, with no reported damage or casualties on the Indian side following the rapid response from the forces.
