Kargil Vijay Diwas: PM Modi acknowledges Pakistan’s failure to learn from its history during Kargil War

Kargil: On the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas, PM Modi paid tribute to the heroes of the Kargil War at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass. He emphasized that the truth won alongside the war in Kargil, as India was working for peace at the time.

PM Modi praised the brave soldiers who carried out the difficult war operation at such a height, and the martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice to protect the motherland in Kargil. PM Modi also criticized Pakistan for not learning from its history during the war. PM Modi also carried out the first blast of the Shinkun La tunnel project, which will provide all-weather connectivity to Ladakh.

The tunnel project includes a 4.1-kilometer-long twin-tube tunnel, the highest tunnel in the world, and will ensure fast and efficient movement of armed forces and equipment. It will also promote economic and social development in Ladakh.
