Bridgestone India Announces Winners of 5th Mobility Social Impact Awards

Hyderabad / Pune: Bridgestone India has announced the winners of the 5th edition of its Mobility Social Impact Awards (MSIA) 2025 held in Pune. The awards recognize organizations that use mobility to empower communities and improve road safety. Winners shared a total prize money of ₹40 lakh.

The awards were given in two categories — Empowerment of Vulnerable Communities and Road Safety Innovation and Excellence. The event was attended by industry leaders, government officials and social change-makers. Dr. Girish Kulkarni, social worker and founder of Snehalaya, was the chief guest.

Bridgestone India Managing Director Mr. Hiroshi Yoshizane said, “It is a privilege to honour these changemakers who are redefining mobility for social good.”

In the Empowerment of Vulnerable Communities category, The Association of People with Disability (APD) from Bengaluru won the top award for its Rehab on Wheels initiative, which provides rehabilitation services to people with disabilities in remote areas.
Impact Guru Foundation (IGF-India) from Delhi was the first runner-up for its Empower Her and Mission I-M-Possible programs that have impacted over 81 lakh people.
Jharkhand Vikas Parishad (JVP) received a jury commendation for its community work in 160 villages promoting sustainable livelihoods and women empowerment.

In the Road Safety Innovation and Excellence category, ALERT (Amenity Lifeline Emergency Response Team) from Chennai won the top prize for training over 4.5 lakh people in life-saving emergency response.
Social Association for Everyone (SAFE India) from Bhubaneshwar was the first runner-up for its #ZoneZero Safe School Zone and RSDAS Driver Training programs.
Safety Research Foundation (SRF) from Bangalore and Maharashtra received a jury commendation for its BRACE Project focused on school safety.

The awards jury included experts from government, academia, and industry.

Now in its fifth year, the Mobility Social Impact Awards is part of Bridgestone’s ongoing effort to promote safe and inclusive communities through innovative mobility solutions.
