Hyderabad: The two-day Bengali film festival and Esprimiti 4.0 recently concluded on Sunday at the Ethnic Hall in Shilparamam, Madhapur.
The closing day of the festival was marked by a spectacular performance by the Bihu dance group from the Assamese Association in Hyderabad.
The group of 14 individuals showcased the popular Bihu dance form called “Huchari” and stole the show with their energetic and synchronized moves.
The festival, which was a perfect example of “unity in diversity”, was a well-organized cultural extravaganza that celebrated the rich Bengali culture and cinema. Sharmila Gogoi, a member of Looitporia – Hyderabad Assam Association, expressed her gratitude to Suchismita Das for inviting their group to showcase their culture.
The event was inaugurated on 3rd August and was graced by esteemed guests like Supran Sen, Kishen Rao, Chandana Khan, and Partha Pratim Mallik. The opening ceremony was a grand affair with an art exhibition, live performances, and a food festival.
The closing ceremony included a felicitation for dignitaries, volunteers, and partners. It was a celebration of Bengali cinema and culture, honoring both established legends and emerging talents.
Overall, the festival was a huge success and left a lasting impression on the audience.
