Hyderabad: The two-day Hyderabad Bengali film festival( HBFF) and Esprimiti 4.0 came to an end on Sunday at the Ethnic Hall in Shilparamam, Madhapur. The eve which was inaugurated on August 3rd, was graced by esteemed guests such as Supran Sen, Secretary General of Film Federation of India, Kishen Rao and Chandana Khan, both IAS officers, and Partha Pratim Mallik, the Founder Director of HBFF and Esprimiti. The opening ceremony was a grand affair, with an art exhibition by Chandana Khan and live performances, a food festival, and a celebration of art and culture. The festival included screenings of films, including “Chalchitra Ekhon” by Anjan Dutt, as well as a musical tribute to the legendary Kishore Kumar on his 96th birthday as part of the celebration of Mrinal Sen’s 100th birth anniversary.
Partha Pratim Mallik, Founder Director of HBFF & Esprimiti & President of Bengalis in Hyderabad,expressed his gratitude to everyone and said, ” As we wrap up our fantastic two-day celebration of Bengali culture and cinema, I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who made this event possible.
To our talented performers and filmmakers, you have dazzled us with your creativity and passion. A huge shout-out to our incredible volunteers, he applauded.
Mr. Mallik further said, “As we bid farewell, let’s carry the joy and inspiration from these days forward. Stay connected, stay inspired, and remember – we are a community that celebrates, supports, and uplifts one another.”
The closing ceremony concluded with felicitations for the dignitaries, volunteers, and partners involved in this celebration of Bengali cinema and culture.
