Poll schedule to be announced for Gujarat,HM today

New Delhi : The Election Commission of India will hold a press conference in Delhi on Friday to announce the election schedule for the Assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

The ECI’s high-level team, led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, recently visited Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat to assess poll readiness.

Following assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand, and Manipur, all eyes are on Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, which will hold elections before the end of the year.

Political parties have begun aggressive campaigning to win over voters. The BJP is working hard to keep power, with the main opposition coming from the Congress, and newcomer AAP also attempting to unseat the ruling party.
