GHMC to conduct special drive to prevent Chikungunya cases

Hyderabad: To prevent Chikungunya cases, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation ( GHMC) is conducting anti-larvae operation programs from October 3.

GHMC Commissioner Amrapali Kata suggested officials to survey around 50 to 100 houses in areas where a case of Chikungunya is reported and taking up anti-larval operation and fogging to check mosquito breeding grounds.

The officials were also instructed to visit locked houses, construction sites, function halls, open plots and educate the representatives of the Residential Welfare Association about the precautions to be taken to prevent Chikungunya.
