HM inaugurates ‘Self-Empowerment through Inner Awakening’ for security forces personnel at Rajasthan

Union Home and Cooperation Minister, Amit Shah, inaugurated a national dialogue on ‘Self-Empowerment through Inner Awakening’ aimed at security forces personnel in Rajasthan. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.

During his address, Amit Shah highlighted the efforts of the Brahma Kumaris organization, which seeks to instill peace and spiritual practice in every individual through yoga and meditation. He emphasized the organization’s long-standing dedication to awakening the inherent goodness within people. Shah described the spiritually charged atmosphere of the locale and its impact on visitors, noting that it emanates strong spiritual energy.

He spoke on the importance of finding a Guru in one’s personal journey, which he believes leads individuals on a path of righteousness, providing various examples of this transformative relationship. He praised the founder of Brahma Kumaris, Lekhraj Kripalani Ji, for advocating the illumination of every individual’s soul, which, in turn, promotes a lifestyle aligning with light and positivity—values significantly affecting society today.

Shah pointed out that the Brahma Kumaris have cultivated a global atmosphere of simplicity, abstinence, and cooperation through their dedication, penance, and wisdom. He introduced two important programs related to the Brahma Kumari organization: the launch of the theme for the year 2025-26, ‘Meditation for World Unity and World Faith’ and the national dialogue focusing on self-empowerment for security personnel.

Reflecting on India’s progress since independence, he noted that the country has now ascended to the position of the fifth-largest economy globally, with aspirations of becoming the third-largest economy in the near future. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India aims to lead in every sector by the centenary of independence in 2047. Shah stressed that India’s mission should be to perpetuate traditions that foster world brotherhood and divine connection, ensuring that every life follows a virtuous path—an initiative supported by the Brahma Kumaris.

He acknowledged the sacrifices and commitment of the country’s security forces, attributing the nation’s safety to their dedication. Amit Shah expressed his gratitude for the relentless efforts of personnel who protect India’s borders under challenging circumstances. He emphasized the crucial roles played by the Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and state police in maintaining law and order and shielding vulnerable populations—a responsibility that often brings immense stress.

Highlighting the significance of mental and emotional well-being, he articulated the importance of helping security personnel achieve peace within their mind, body, and soul. In this context, he commended the Brahma Kumaris for their significant role over 25 years in supporting security forces, alleviating their stress, and promoting inner tranquility. This initiative, according to Shah, is instrumental in building a stronger and more secure nation.

In summary, the dialogue emphasized the integration of spiritual practices into the lives of security personnel, acknowledging their sacrifices and promoting their well-being as essential for national strength and unity.

Amit Shah emphasized India’s rich tradition of integrating yoga and spirituality to harmonize the mind, body, intellect, and soul, which has historically acted as a guiding force in navigating complex challenges through knowledgeable and thoughtful policymaking. He expressed gratitude for the ancient wisdom that India continues to impart to the world, stressing that the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—meaning the world is one family—originates from India’s Upanishads. This philosophy promotes global unity and belonging. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has made significant strides in promoting its Vedic heritage internationally, notably by establishing International Yoga Day on June 21st. Currently, millions worldwide are adopting yoga, meditation, and spirituality as essential elements of their lives. Shah conveyed his optimism that this approach will increasingly lay the groundwork for global peace in the future.

Union Home Minister Shah highlighted the spiritual teachings of Pujya Lekhraj Kripalani Ji, whose insights into the soul, God, and the cycle of creation became known as “Brahma”. He pointed out that the Brahma Kumaris organization was founded to disseminate this spiritual knowledge globally. He commended the pivotal role women play within this organization, noting that the divine feminine has been esteemed throughout generations and that women have been integral to the leadership and service of the Brahma Kumaris. Shah asserted the importance of self-transformation, positing that true changes in the world must begin within individuals, as personal transformation inspires broader social change. Guided by this philosophy, the Brahma Kumaris have successfully disseminated impactful and positive ideas worldwide. The Home Minister praised the organization for advocating values like celibacy, vegetarianism, de-addiction, simplicity, and meditation, which facilitate individuals’ connections with the divine and encourage the realization of their innately pure, peaceful, and eternal essence, presented in an approachable manner.

Through the empowerment of women, the Brahma Kumaris have emerged as ambassadors of Indian culture, spreading messages of peace, dialogue, and spiritual harmony across the globe. Their commitment to fostering transformation not only within individuals but also within communities showcases the profound impact of their teachings. This approach establishes a foundation for creating a more harmonious world. The Union Home Minister’s acknowledgment of the Brahma Kumaris’ role underscores the intersection of spirituality and women’s empowerment in promoting a culture of peace and well-being.

In conclusion, Shah’s reflections on India’s spiritual heritage and the work of the Brahma Kumaris highlight a broader commitment to fostering global unity and personal growth through spiritual practices. His optimistic vision of the future, guided by ancient teachings, advocates for a world where wellness, peace, and collective understanding are prioritized, enabling societies to thrive through the transformative power of spiritual wisdom. These insights reaffirm India’s role as a beacon of knowledge and spirituality in the world today.
