Three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists killed in Shopian encounter

Shopian: Security forces have killed three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in an ongoing encounter between terrorists and security forces since Tuesday morning in the Munjh Marg area of the Shopian district. Due to the apprehension of other terrorists in the area, the security forces are continuing the search operation.

According to ADGP Kashmir, two of the three local terrorists killed have been identified. While the process of identifying the third is on. One of them is Latif Lone of Shopian who was involved in the murder of a Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishna Bhat and the other is Umar Nazir of Anantnag. He was involved in the assassination of Til Bahadur Thapa of Nepal. He said that one AK 47 rifle and two pistols have been recovered from them.

According to information, security forces had received information about the presence of terrorists in the Munjh Marg area of the Shopian district. After getting the information, the security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation. Meanwhile, the terrorists, seeing the security forces coming near them, started firing on them, after which the encounter started. In this encounter, the security forces killed three terrorists. Due to the apprehension of other terrorists in the area, the security forces are continuing the search operation.
