Natasa Pirk Musar becomes the first female President of Slovenia

Ljubljana: Natasa Pirk Musar (54) took the oath of office on Thursday during a formal session of the National Assembly of Slovenia. She is the fifth and first woman President of the country.

Musar, who is contesting as an independent, will replace Borut Pahor. Pahor was on this post for the last 10 years.

As President, Musar addressed the citizens of Slovenia. He said- ‘We have to take care of our country. protect it. Love it, cause it’s ours. I support the multilateral world order and a strong Europe.
