New Delhi: The song “Naatu Naatu” from SS Rajamouli’s monumental epic drama “RRR,” starring Ram Charan and NTR Jr., has made history by becoming the first-ever Asian song to win the Best Original Song in Motion Picture category at the 80th Golden Globe Awards.
The songs “Carolina” from “Where the Crawdads Sing,” “Ciao Papa” from “Pinocchio” by Guillermo del Toro, “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick,” and “Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” competed with “Naatu Naatu.”
Musician M. M. Keeravani, who was in attendance with his wife Srivalli, was given the honour.He made tributes to Ram Charan, NTR Jr., and Rajamouli in his dedication to the prize.
The song “Naatu Naatu” by @mmkeeravaani won the Oscar for Best Song – Motion Picture. It was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song.
‘RRR’ has already received praise from the Hollywood Critics Association, the New York Critics Circle, and the Saturn International Awards. Numerous critics from around the world, particularly in the US, have praised the movie. The “RRR” team has been advocating for the movie internationally throughout the awards season, and despite being released on the huge streaming service Netflix, the movie has seen sold-out, packed theatres around the world.
