Trump calls the rioting charges against the US Capitol a “partisan attempt to sideline”

Washington: Donald Trump claimed on Monday that House members had recommended “fake charges” against him in an effort to dissuade him from seeking re-election.

Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, “The Fake charges made by the highly partisan Unselect Committee of January 6th have already been submitted, prosecuted, and tried in the form of Impeachment Hoax #2.” “Convincingly, I WON.”

He claimed that the prosecution against him was a partisan effort to discredit him and the Republican Party, much like the impeachment process had been.
