Washington: In America, the police beat a black youth to death. After the video of his beating went viral, people took to the streets in many cities of America and demonstrations started.
Tyree Nichols, a 29-year-old black youth, was beaten to death by the police in the US city of Memphis. Five policemen were reported to have knocked Nichols down and then beat him to death after an argument over traffic rules. Some photos and videos in this regard have gone viral on social media. In one picture, Nichols’ body lies on the ground supported by a car. In a video, five policemen of Memphis Police are seen kicking. In the video footage, Chuthill Nichols can be heard crying out for his mother.
They are seen continuously getting beaten up by the police for more than four minutes and shouting for rescue. It is seen in the video that the policemen got Nichols down from the car and started beating him. Within four minutes, Nichols was attacked nine times. Public anger emerged in America after the video of this incident surfaced. Demonstrations have started in several cities including Memphis and New York. In Memphis, people blocked the highway, shouting slogans. These people were raising slogans like Hands up, don’t shoot.
