11,914 Cybercrimes cases registered under Cyberabad Commissionerate in 2024

Hyderabad: This year 2024, Cyberabad police have registered 11,914 cybercrimes cases across the commissionerate.

Fraudsters cheated the innocent people in the name of part-time job fraud, trading fraud, smishing fraud, digital fraud. Police received 30,883 petitions from victims of cyber frauds and a total of 11,914 cases were registered.

The victims lost a whooping Rs.793 crore to cyber fraudsters during the year and the highest amount Rs. 173 crore was lost by around 3267 persons who were duped on pretext of part time jobs.

This year, Cyberabad cybercrimes police arrested 534 persons from across the country in 372 cases.
