Exit polls gave the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) an edge over the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and others in the Huzurabad by-election, which was held on October 30. The BJP may have the upper hand in terms of vote share, with a majority of votes ranging from 10500 to 12300. The voter turnout was 86.33 percent.
According to exit polls for the Huzurabad by-elections, the BJP is likely to win with more than 50% of the vote, followed by the TRS with 43.1 percent, the Congress with 5.1 percent, and others with 0.7 percent.
The TRS may suffer a negative impact if the Dalit Bandhu Scheme is not implemented, according to the exit poll report, as well as the fact that Eatala Rajender has a positive image due to his role in the Telangana agitation.
Unemployed young people have also expressed their discontent with the state government. According to exit polls, a majority of women, 58 percent in total, voted for the BJP, while only 42 percent voted for the TRS.

After former health minister Rajender resigned from the ruling TRS and joined the BJP, the Huzurabad seat became vacant. Rajender resigned as a Huzurabad MLA on June 12 after being dismissed from the state Council of Ministers over allegations of land encroachment. For both the ruling TRS and the opposition, the seat has become a prestige contest.
