IPL 2025: 14-Year-Old Vaibhav Suryavanshi Breaks Multiple Records becomes Youngest T20 Centurion

At just 14 years old, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the rising star of Rajasthan Royals, made a monumental impact in the IPL, scoring 101 runs off just 38 balls and establishing several records. His century, achieved in 35 balls, is now the second-fastest in IPL history, behind Chris Gayle’s 30-ball record from 2013, and he surpassed Yusuf Pathan’s previous record of 37 balls, marking the fastest IPL century by an Indian.

Additionally, he became the youngest player, at 14 years and 32 days, to score a century in all of professional cricket, breaking the previous records held by Vijay Zol and Zahoor Elahi.

Fastest IPL Centuries:

– Chris Gayle – 30 balls

– Vaibhav Suryavanshi – 35 balls

– Yusuf Pathan – 37 balls

Suryavanshi also recorded the fastest fifty by an uncapped Indian batsman in just 17 balls and hit 11 sixes in his innings, joining an elite group of players for this achievement. His partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal saw them add 166 runs for the first wicket, the largest in Rajasthan Royals’ history.

A Series of Records: Fifties, Sixes, and Partnerships

Fifty in 17 Balls: Vaibhav set a record for the fastest fifty by an uncapped Indian batsman, scoring a half-century in just 17 balls.

11 Sixes: His name is now included among Indians who have hit the most sixes (11) in a single innings. Previously, Murali Vijay achieved this feat in 2010.

166 Runs Partnership: Along with Yashasvi Jaiswal, he added 166 runs for the first wicket, which became the largest partnership in Rajasthan Royals’ history.

Moreover, the team set a record for their best powerplay score of 87 runs and achieved the largest margin for a chase over 200 runs in IPL history, accomplishing the target with 25 balls to spare.
