CBI caught NHAI Project Director while accepting the bribe

Hyderabad: National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Project Director arrested by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) while accepting a bribe of Rs 60,000 from a man.

The CBI had registered a case on Tuesday against the Project Director and a private person on allegations that they had demanded an undue advantage of Rs 1 lakh for not causing any hindrance to the operation of the complainant’s restaurant situated adjacent to the Hyderabad–Warangal Highway near Gudur Toll Plaza, Bibinagar, Telangana.

Based on the tip, CBI laid a trap and caught both the Project Director and the private person red-handed on Tuesday while demanding and accepting the bribe. The incriminating documents were seized. Further investigation is in process.
