Traffic advisory issued in Hyderabad ahead of Kavitha’s political event at Muneerabad

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Traffic Police have issued a detailed traffic advisory ahead of a major public event scheduled on Saturday at Advaya Convention in Muneerabad, where K Kavitha is set to formally launch her new political party.

The event is expected to draw a large turnout of supporters from across Telangana, including party workers, youth groups and local leaders. With crowds likely to begin arriving early in the morning, authorities have warned of significant traffic congestion between 5 am and 5 pm in and around the venue.

Political significance of the event

The launch is being closely watched in political circles, as Kavitha, a prominent leader from Telangana, is expected to outline the vision and direction of her new party.

In recent public statements, she has indicated that the platform would focus on issues concerning youth, employment and sections that feel underrepresented. The event is expected to mark the formal beginning of her independent political outreach, drawing attention from both supporters and observers.

Given the scale of mobilisation anticipated for the launch, traffic movement in surrounding areas is likely to be impacted throughout the day.

Key routes likely to be affected

Commuters have been advised to avoid the Muneerabad route during peak hours. Traffic is expected to be heavy on NH-44 and nearby internal village roads connecting to the venue.

Police said that vehicle rallies and processions heading towards the convention centre may lead to intermittent slowdowns, especially during the morning and early afternoon hours when the maximum crowd movement is expected.

Diversions and restrictions

To manage the expected surge, entry of heavy vehicles into Muneerabad village roads has been restricted for the day.

Such vehicles will be diverted via the Kandlakoya service road and Outer Ring Road (ORR) service lanes to prevent congestion near the event location.

At the Muneerabad village entry point, only vehicles associated with the event will be permitted. All other vehicles will be diverted through alternative routes, including Gopala Farms and Poodur village roads, towards Kistapur and Medchal.

At the Poodur village Y-junction, traffic will be regulated strictly, with general vehicles being redirected towards Medchal and surrounding routes. Only authorised vehicles will be allowed to proceed towards the venue.

Vehicles approaching from CMR College X Road will also be diverted through the Kandlakoya ORR service road towards Shamirpet to ease pressure on the main access routes.

Traffic management on the ground

Traffic personnel will be deployed at key junctions to monitor and regulate vehicle movement throughout the day. Officials said real-time adjustments will be made depending on traffic flow and crowd density.

Authorities are also coordinating with event organisers to ensure smoother entry and exit of vehicles and to avoid bottlenecks near the venue.

Advisory for commuters

The Cyberabad Traffic Police have urged commuters to plan their travel in advance and avoid non-essential travel through the affected areas during peak hours.

People travelling towards Medchal, Kistapur and adjoining localities have been advised to use alternate routes and follow on-ground directions issued by traffic personnel.

Public cooperation, officials said, will be crucial in maintaining smooth traffic flow and preventing unnecessary delays.

Overall impact

While such large gatherings are expected to create temporary disruptions, authorities said the measures are aimed at minimising inconvenience and ensuring safety.

With both political activity and public movement converging at a single location, the focus remains on managing traffic effectively while allowing the event to proceed smoothly.
