Hyderabad: Students from Telangana’s Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions have recorded strong results in the SSC 2026 examinations, with all top 10 rankers scoring above 579 marks out of 600.
According to official data, the top scores ranged between 579 and 587, reflecting a high level of academic performance across the institutions.
Bhukya Akshaya from Mancherial district emerged as the top scorer among the students, securing 587 marks. Sadam Rana, who scored 583 marks, stood among the leading rankers.
Rana, who belongs to the Naikpod tribal community, completed his schooling under the tribal welfare residential system. His parents are daily wage labourers. He studied at a residential school in Adilabad district before moving to a School of Excellence in Khammam, where he continued his education.
Speaking about his performance, Rana credited his teachers for guiding and motivating him during his academic journey. He now plans to pursue further studies in a specialised residential institution and aims to continue his education in the technical field.
Among other top performers, Sabavath Vaishali secured 585 marks, placing her among the leading rankers this year.
Officials said the results indicate consistent academic progress within the tribal welfare education system. The overall pass percentage of these institutions stood at 98.86 per cent this year, showing an improvement compared to the previous year.
The high cutoff for the top ranks highlights the competitive performance of students from these institutions, bringing them in line with leading schools in the state.
Education officials noted that residential schooling, focused academic support and structured learning environments have contributed to the improved outcomes.
The results also reflect increasing participation and performance of students from remote and underprivileged backgrounds in mainstream academic benchmarks.
