Hyderabad: In view of frequently crossing temperatures in across the state, from 41 degree Celsius to 44 degrees Celsius, Telangana government issued alerts to both government officials and the public, urging to stay safe.
State government alerted officials to implement enforceable measures to protect public during the ongoing summer season. Government ordered authorities to ensure the availability of ORS packets to the public and to prioritise the supply of drinking water and electricity. Health department also alerted officials to deliver prompt treatment to heatstroke victims.
In the meanwhile , Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed serious concern over the escalating heatwave conditions in state. CM guided district Collectors to ensure public safety in the face of the severe heatwave. CM also called officials to set up Chaliveendralu (free drinking water centres) in urban and rural areas.
Moreover, The Meteorological Department has issued warnings for districts in North Telangana.
Some districts in Telangana were recorded temperatures of more than 40 degree Celsius includes Adilabad, Jagitial, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Nalgonda, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalle, Rajanna Siricilla, and Suryapet.
Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Khammam, and Warangal, are expected to cross 41 degree Celsius to 44 degrees Celsius over the next five days. IMD officials warned that maximum temperatures will continue a gradual upward trajectory, rising by another one to two degrees Celsius in the next three days.
