Telangana Congress compares the democracy with Draupadi’s Shredder

A poster of the Congress Party in Telangana could spell controversy. In this poster, the comparison of the state’s democracy has been done with the Draupadi Shredder of Mahabharata. In the poster, the President of the Telangana Nation Committee (TRS), Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been shown as Duryodhana, Owaisi as his ally and visually impaired Dharmarashtra for the Election Commission insulting democracy.

In the poster, the democracy in the state as the wife of Pandavas, Draupadi, while Chief Election Officer, District Election Officer and Returning Officer are shown as miserable.

Accusing the miscreants during the recent elections, the Congress released this poster during its takeover at Indira Park in Hyderabad. Describing the poster, BJP spokesperson Krishna Sagar said that this is an insult to Hindu sentiment. Did Congress not get anything to attack the Election Commission? He has hurt the Hindu sentiments by electing the Mahabharata episode. He demanded apology from state Congress chief N. Uttam Kumar and national president Rahul Gandhi.

TRS leader P. Rajeshwar Reddy and Karna Prabhakar did not get the response but All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi wondered if the objectionable poster Sonia Gandhi or Priyanka Gandhi was released. Had the Congress tolerated? Of course I am not comparing it but nobody will do it.

State Congress Committee Chairman M. Shashidhar Reddy, while defending the poster, said that we have tried to show only how the Election Commission has been watching the turmoil in TRS elections with the help of local administration. There is no question of forgiveness. The BJP should not understand that only that is the guardian of Hindu religion, we also respect every Hindu and respect every religion.
