BJP imposes debt of Rs 4.5 lakh crore on 7 crore Gujaratis: Kharge

New Delhi : Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that the debt burden on the people of Gujarat has increased during the rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Kharge tweeted on Tuesday that the BJP has imposed a debt of 4.5 crores on seven crore people of Gujarat. That’s why instead of talking here and there, BJP should talk about the basic issues of Gujarat.

Kharge said that the BJP should tell why every section of Gujarat – youth, farmers, women, small businessmen, Dalits, tribals, and backward classes are all suffering. BJP leaders should tell what they have done for the development of Gujarat in the last 27 years.

Kharge said that the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has warned in the past that Gujarat is getting trapped in a debt cycle. He said that the truth is that the BJP has given nothing but an economic burden and social hatred to the people of Gujarat. Now the time has come for change. The people of Gujarat are going to answer the BJP. This time Congress is going to form the government there.
