Director Ram Gopal Varma skips inquiry before Andhra CID

Hyderabad: Director Ram Gopal Varma on Monday skipped his appearance before Andhra Pradesh’s Crime Investigation Department (CID).

Ram Gopal Varma sent his lawyer to the CID office in Guntur and sought eight weeks time to appear before the CID officials.

The CID had earlier issued a notice to RGV, directing him to appear before it on February 10. Ram Gopal Varma  was summoned for questioning in connection with a complaint lodged by a leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the past.

The case is related to the 2019 movie ‘Kamma Rajyamlo Kadapa Reddlu’ (Kadapa Reddys under Kamma rule) directed by RGV.
