Hyderabad: In an effort to simplify complaint registration and improve public access to police services, Hyderabad City Police on Saturday launched an AI-powered mobile application designed to record complaints in multiple Indian languages and assist in faster documentation.
The application, named AI-CopWriter, was launched by Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar at the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre (TGICCC) in Banjara Hills.
Developed with technical support from Bluecloud Softech Solutions in collaboration with the police IT Cell, the application is intended to make complaint submission easier for citizens and improve operational efficiency at police stations.
According to officials, the application allows users to submit complaints through voice input in ten Indian languages.
The system processes spoken information and converts it into draft First Information Reports (FIRs) within seconds, reducing the need for extensive manual data entry.
Police officials said the initiative is aimed at making complaint registration more accessible while improving consistency in record preparation across police stations.
Language often becomes a challenge for people while narrating incidents or preparing written complaints. Officials believe the new platform could reduce such barriers and make the process more user-friendly.
The application is also expected to reduce processing time and support police personnel in handling routine documentation more efficiently.
Officials stated that technology-led initiatives are increasingly being introduced to improve service delivery and strengthen public interaction with policing systems.
The launch forms part of broader efforts by Hyderabad Police to adopt digital tools and modernise public-facing services.
Police officials said the application will continue to be developed and strengthened based on operational feedback and public usage.
The department expects the platform to improve accessibility while helping streamline complaint handling procedures across the city.
