Imran Masood left Samajwadi Party and joins BSP

Lucknow: Former Samajwadi Party MLA Imran Masood joined Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Wednesday. Earlier, Masood had met BSP supremo Mayawati.

After joining BSP, Imran Masood said that today is a historic day. I have taken membership in BSP after coming in front of our leader sister Mayawati. It is also a matter of good fortune for me that Behenji has done the work of giving me membership.

He said that the experiments which he had left Congress to do in the assembly. That experiment was a complete failure. Our society voted unilaterally for the Samajwadi Party, and even after that, the result came to zero. Whatever promises were made by Akhilesh Yadav, he did not fulfil them.

Said that there is no alternative other than the Bahujan Samaj Party, which is such a vote bank of BSP, together with which we can become a good alternative to BJP in Uttar Pradesh. Told that the work will be done under the policy of BSP. They will carry forward the mission of Kanshi Ram. Masood said that he has joined BSP for a specific purpose.

It is noteworthy that Imran Masood is considered to be the big Muslim face of the western region of Uttar Pradesh. He has strong penetration among Muslim voters. Mayawati was also looking for a big Muslim face in West UP, which is now almost complete. If sources are to be believed, BSP can field Imran Masood from Saharanpur.
