Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police stored Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) used in the Jubilee Hills Assembly bypolls at Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium in Yousufguda with tight security.
The strong room, established under strict supervision of Election Commission officials, is being guarded round-the-clock by armed police personnel both from the central force and city police.
The area has already been declared a high-security zone with multi-layered barricades, restricted entry and a CCTV surveillance network in place. Meanwhile, police have also set up check posts around the stadium and deployed Quick Response Teams (QRTs) to handle any emergency situations.
