Muhammad Yunus Assures Hindu Safety in Bangladesh

Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser, Muhammad Yunus, has called Prime Minister Narendra Modi to assure the safety and security of Hindus and other minorities in the country. This is the first conversation between the two since the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led government.

Modi reiterated India’s support for a democratic, stable, peaceful, and progressive Bangladesh in a post on X. In his Independence Day address, Modi expressed concern over the safety of Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh, expressing hope that the situation will become normal soon.

He emphasized the concerns of 140 crore countrymen, particularly Hindus and minorities, and urged the neighboring country to march on the path of peace and prosperity.
